Materials
Thread count
Counted the way it should be — single-ply picks per square inch. A real 220 outlasts an inflated 1000 every time.
Terry
Zero-twist yarn at 450 to 550 GSM. Heavier towels absorb more, and zero-twist keeps them soft past the twentieth wash.
Care
Machine wash cold, tumble low, no bleach. Wash colours separately for the first two cycles. Skip softener on terry — it coats the loops.

Four layers, bottom to top. Each one does a job the next cannot.

Summer
Quilted cotton on the bed, nothing on top. If the room is air-conditioned, a Feather Touch dohar folded at the foot is enough.
Monsoon
Humidity is the problem, not cold. Stay with breathable quilted cotton and wash more often — damp cloth holds odour.
Turning
A dohar earns its place. Light enough that you do not wake up hot, warm enough for the nights that drop suddenly.
Winter
Comforter set. The reversible face means the bed changes character without buying a second set.
